Walk-in Ministry

Saint Mary of Mercy Church is one of five churches that participates in the Downtown Ministerium. In cooperation with these churches, Saint Mary of Mercy Church sponsors a "Walk-in Ministry" to help meet basic social services for people who are seeking help. Every five weeks Saint Mary of Mercy Church takes its turn in providing assistance in various areas, such as, supplying groceries, winter clothes and blankets and whenever feasible, offering pastoral counseling.

Every 5th Week (Project of 5 Downtown Churches)
Office Hours:
Monday & Friday

9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. & 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.

Other Services to those in need

In a given week, clients with different needs seek assistance. While offering these services, Saint Mary of Mercy Church also underwrites its own "Walk-in Ministry" through various contributions made directly to the Saint Mary of Mercy Hungry and Homeless Fund.

The primary purpose of this program is concern for the immediate needs of the people, namely, to provide food for the hungry and homeless.
